![]() ![]() right before the drop comes in, so what I did was, in the next 4 bars you hear, I set the swing at a certain rate that sounded good to me, and I let the snare play at every note at that swing percentage for 2 bars, then automated the pitch to rise 1 octave over the next 2 bars, simulating a build up / drop (? lol). I've only heard swing used in deep house, future house, etc. Somewhere around the middle sounded the best, which leads to my next example. It sounds too plain in the middle, and too uneven (right word?) in the end. The first 8 bars, I looped drums hitting on every note, with automation increasing the swing from 0% to 100%. ![]() ![]() Alright, so I did my best to explain it in audio form, but if you're still lost, here's kind of an explanation. ![]()
